We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.

For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.

We welcome the opportunity to work collaboratively with parents. Some of the ways that parents can become involved include:

  • assisting in classrooms
  • helping with extra-curricular activities such as excursions and school events
  • acting as officials for sporting events
  • being active members of the parent community.

Parent Consulting Committees
Parents and carers are invited to work collaboratively with the school to meet the needs of the students. Each year the parent community is invited to gather for a Master Plan workshop; parent consulting committees are formed at this gathering.

Canteen
Canteen orders can be placed and paid for online in advance at Flexischools. School canteen chefs prepare all lunches with fresh ingredients.

Uniform
The uniform supplier for St James is Oz Fashion and can be ordered online.
